that field trips and outings are safe staff will ensure that
additional adults or staff (above ratio) will accompany the group.
Staff will prepare children for outings by:
·
explaining where they are going
·
what
will happen
·
whom
they will see
·
who
they need to listen to
·
what
they can expect to see
·
who
will lead the field trip
·
who
to invite along and additional adults or staff that will be
accompanying the group, inform who they are
Safety rules
will be reviewed with children and their chaperones prior to each
field trip and staff will enforce car safety rules that comply with
Transport Canada guidelines. Permission forms need to be signed by
the parents stating the trips, date, times, locations and method of
transportation. Each field trip requires a signature from a parent
authorizing permission. Each room will have a backpack with
emergency cards of each child, first aid kit, any emergency
medication a child might need, latex gloves, or anything else needed
for the trip. The backpack must be with the staff at all times
during the trip.
